Blackview BV5500 will try to win some hearts with its sleek design and pretty aesthetic surface texture. The design is a breath of fresh air in a crowded rugged smartphone market and it will be a great entry point if you’re new to the Android platform. That is because the most-outstanding aspect with it will surely be the pricing.

But the keyboard isn’t backlit. The screen wobbles a bit when you touch it (which is sadly pretty common for convertible tablet-style laptops). And the fingerprint sensor can sometimes take a few tries to recognize my finger — even after I registered the same finger with Windows twice.

The dynaEdge PC can also be used as a traditional Windows 10 Pro desktop by connecting it to a standard display.

The competitive pressures on the company are fairly heavy. But Insulet has a one-of-a-kind delivery mechanism which is significantly easier to use than competing products. This, combined with the recent pullback in stock price, as well as the increasing prevalence of diabetes worldwide, make Insulet a good value play.

The Gemini is the most luxurious of all. Spec wise, it’s a smartphone with a keyboard: 6-inch, 1080p 18:9 screen, Mediatek Helio X27 processor, 4GB of RAM, and 64GB of storage plus a MicroSD card. It can boot into either Android 7.1, or a Linux command-line—the latter function will make it a dream troubleshooting device for sysadmins and IT professionals.

Along with the memory and processor, the cost-cutting axe also fell on the cameras, with only a 5MP front-facer and an 8MP snapper on the rear. Neither of these cameras is especially impressive and they have issues that we’ll cover later in this review.

Web pages take a little longer to load than I’d expect. Apps take a little longer to launch. And switching applications is a little on the slow side too. None of this matters much if you’re single-tasking. But if you’ve got more than a few processes running, the computer feels like something out of the 90s.

I wasn’t expecting much, but the Unihertz Atom camera went even lower than my underestimations. Images seem washed off, colors are dull, exposure is always off, there is often weird artifacting in direct light, and detail is lacking.
