OUKITEL’s WP1 is a mid-range handset that ordinarily costs around $237.74, shipping with a 5.5-inch HD+ panel with an 18:9 aspect ratio and a resolution of 720 x 1440. Just above that display is a 5-megapixel selfie-shooter with FaceID unlock features while rolling the handset over reveals a Sony IMX135-based 13-megapixel primary snapper with a 2-megapixel secondary sensor. Underneath that, and driving Android 8.1 Oreo OS, is a MediaTek-built octa-core MT6763T clocked at 2.0GHz backed up by a Mali G71 GPU with a clock frequency of 2.7GHz. Processing is backed up by 4GB RAM and 64GB of expandable storage — minus the storage that’s taken up by the OS — up to 128GB via microSD card. A 5,000mAh battery powers that package enabled with ‘quick charge’ at 9V/2A. Wireless Qi fast charging works too, at 10W. OUKITEL claims that powerhouse can be charged up via the former method in as little as two hours and ten minutes while the wireless method takes just an hour longer.
The Asus NovaGo also has UFS 2.0 storage rather than a faster SSD. It has two USB 3.1 Type-A ports, an HDMI 1.4 port, a 3.5mm audio jack, and a combination nano SIM + microSD card slot, but no USB Type-C or Thunderbolt 3 ports.

Oddly, Poptel went with the old-style microUSB connector and not Type-C on the P8. And, because of the waterproofing, the socket is deeply embedded in the phone, requiring a long microUSB charging cable that Poptel thankfully provides in the box.
I paid 5000 yuan for my Note 4. There are 10 cores here. The screen isn’t some super bright job that eats your battery power but really, high end phones do cost more and look at the Xperia XA2 price? That’s seriously mediocre hardware. This is a reasonable price in my opinion and I’d get the 4g but also I’ll wait until they’ve got Linux working better & possibly Sailfish OS/Linux dual boot because frankly I’m trying turn get away from Android.

But it takes a little longer than I’d like to launch software or switch between running apps… or even browser tabs. The Edge web browser has a nasty habit of crashing when I have too many tabs open. And for the first time in at least a decade, I find myself occasionally typing a sentence and then waiting a few seconds for the letters to show up on the screen.

Using this app is very simple, all you need to do is point your computer webcam on a code and the details will show immediately at the bottom of the app bar. QR Code and Barcode Reader, as its name suggests also offers the possibility to read codes located on images and even save them in the “Catalog” if you need to use them later. You can also scan codes from images stored on your device.
