Panasonic has launched two new handheld ‘Toughbook’ models in India today. These devices are targeted towards the mobile workforce that need a rugged device to remotely do their job. The Toughbook FZ-T1 and L1 can be used for taking orders, shelf stocking, logistical record keeping among others.

OUKITEL’s WP1 is a mid-range handset that ordinarily costs around $237.74, shipping with a 5.5-inch HD+ panel with an 18:9 aspect ratio and a resolution of 720 x 1440. OUKITEL claims that powerhouse can be charged up via the former method in as little as two hours and ten minutes while the wireless method takes just an hour longer.

The Asus NovaGo also has UFS 2.0 storage rather than a faster SSD. It has two USB 3.1 Type-A ports, an HDMI 1.4 port, a 3.5mm audio jack, and a combination nano SIM + microSD card slot, but no USB Type-C or Thunderbolt 3 ports.

Oddly, Poptel went with the old-style microUSB connector and not Type-C on the P8. And, because of the waterproofing, the socket is deeply embedded in the phone, requiring a long microUSB charging cable that Poptel thankfully provides in the box.
