The device is both IP68/IP69K and MIL-STD-810G certified, which basically makes is water resistant, dust resistant, and also capable of handling drops and what not. The phone is designed in a way to be able to handle drops, as it is protected all around, while the material you’ll notice the most here is metal. The company actually claims that you can submerge it up to 2 hours, 2 meters under the water surface. In addition to that, it can handle drops from up to 1.2 meters without a problem.
