One of the things you get used to as a drone pilot is the attention. Mostly it’s just curiosity from folks passing by, but sometimes flying can be an uncomfortable experience. DJI have attempted to partially solve that problem with the introduction of low noise props. But with the Osmo range it’s clear the company wants to appeal to ground-based camera creatives, too, and offer an alternative way to capture moments for when flying isn’t the best option.

The new CT40 clearly demonstrates Honeywell’s determination to push the envelope. Processing power comes from the same competent, brawny 2.2GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 that’s already doing duty in the recently (October 2017) introduced Dolphin CT60. There’s 2GB or 4GB of DDR4 RAM and 32GB of Flash storage. If more is needed, there’s a micro SDXC card slot that can handle cards up to 512GB.

AR can optimize the cumbersome picking process by supplying employees with real-time information of how much of a product is needed as well as its precise location. Another collaborative process that stands to benefit from AR is maintenance. Specialists no longer need to be called in to fix machinery since support can be provided from other locations using holograms to convey 3D images and/or overlays to provide accurate repair instructions.

Section 16. Entire Agreement.
