Again, nothing to write home about here. The phone’s sound is passable, but ordinary. Call audio seems fine. I could hear people well, and they could hear me (or so my friends said).
Its PCMark 8 Work Conventional test is on the low side for modern systems, and it didn’t match up too well against some of the competition. (It should be noted, though, that having a higher screen resolution hurts this score, and the Lenovo Flex 6 11, for example, only offers a 720p display). I included both the Miix 320 and the more expensive Lenovo Miix 520 for comparison since the Surface Go’s price can scale closer to either of them depending on the SKU and keyboard.
Before sending me out alone, the company assigned me two “ride-alongs” with its top driver, the legendary Marco, who went out with 280 packages the second day I rode shotgun with him, took his full lunch break, did not roll through a single stop sign, and was finished by sundown. Marco taught me to keep a lookout not just for porch pirates—lowlifes who swoop in behind us to pilfer packages—but also for portable toilets. In neighborhoods miles from a service station or any public lavatory, a Port-a-John, or a Honey Pot, can be no less welcome than an oasis in the desert. (The afternoon I leapt from the van and beelined to a Honey Pot, only to find it padlocked, was the closest I’ve come to crying on the job.)
Tiny — fits anywhere Full-day battery life Good performance for the price Plenty of storage Has a 3.5 mm headset jack Has a fingerprint reader
Part 4 of 4 Mike Scruggs- Despite the heavy pounding by Red Army and Soviet Air Force firepower, the Mujahidin hung on, largely with the help of U.S. and other Allied finances and weapons. China supplied them with SA-7 handheld surface-to-air (SAM) missiles and long-range 107mm and 130mm artillery.
The Google search Amazon driver urinates summons a cavalcade of caught-in-the-act videos depicting poor saps, since fired, who simply couldn’t hold it any longer. While their decision to pee in the side yard—or on the front porch!—of a customer is not excusable, it is, to those of us in the Order of the Arrow (my made-up name for Amazon delivery associates), understandable.
The Dolphin CT40′s 3.0 x 6.4 inch footprint is roughly that of an Apple iPhone 8 Plus in a protective case. The CT40 was designed to be considerably more durable than consumer devices and that adds a bit weight, but at just just under 10 ounces the CT40 won’t weigh users down.
Overall, I find the NovaGo to be moderately frustrating to use. It lacks that magical feeling that I’ve come to take for granted with modern computers: instantaneous results.
Moving on to the insides of the Ulefone Armor 6. The smartphone is powered by MediaTek’s Helio P60 SoC, a eight-core design with quad A73 and quad A53 Arm cores as well as Aem’s Mali-G72MP3 GPU. The SoC is paired with 6 GB of DRAM and 128 GB of NAND flash storage. Many recent ruggedized smartphones have been based on cheaper SoCs with low-power Cortex-A53 CPU cores, so the Armor 6 is notable for its performance potential. As it appears, Ulefone decided not to cut corners and used a relatively high-performance SoC with Cortex-A73 cores in order to ensure that owners of the handset can use all applications they need to with a comfortable level of performance.
Around the edges and bezels of the Surface Go are the physical ports and inlets, but don’t expect many. You get dual microphones for voice calls, two cameras (a front-facing 5-megapixel camera, and a rear 8-megapixel one), a single USB Type-C port (used for data, video out, and charging), a headphone jack, and a MicroSDXC card reader. I’d have liked to see a Type-A USB for attaching workaday items like a flash drive.
Weighing in at 3.1 pounds and featuring a full-sized keyboard there’s no mistaking it for a tablet. Sure, you can pick it up and hold it, but it’s really too big to comfortably used as a handheld device for an extended period. Still, it’s nice to have the option of folding the screen part way back and propping up the computer in tent or stand modes when you’re watching videos, reading recipes, or viewing presentations.
