Along with the memory and processor, the cost-cutting axe also fell on the cameras, with only a 5MP front-facer and an 8MP snapper on the rear. Neither of these cameras is especially impressive and they have issues that we’ll cover later in this review.
Overall, our initial impressions of this phone were good. It’s solidly made, has a large and colorful screen, an excellent specification and many genuinely useful features.
Wow I didn’t realize the Surface Laptop was that light by comparison. Anyways, this laptop’s shortcomings don’t surprise me. It’s priced way too high for what amounts to entry level $200 performance. You should compare this to those cheap $150-200 Celeron laptops you can get at best buy. At the $200 price point I’d probably get an ARM laptop or tablet. Still looking for an upgrade to my Surface RT.
