Most “flagship” phones cost more, and are ONLY phones, so this seems like a decent deal to get Linux computer plus Android tablet/phone for the asking price.
Older games and graphics apps may not work. Windows 10 on ARM supports DirectX 9, DirectX 10, DirectX 11, and DirectX 12, but apps/games that target older versions will not work. Apps that require hardware-accelerated OpenGL will also not work.
The silver lining to the low storage speed is that the Kong 3 is remarkably frugal when it comes to power consumption: it managed nearly the same battery score as the S80, a phone with a 10,080mAh battery, whereas the King Kong 3 only has 6,000mAh of capacity.
It’s not the first Windows 10 tablet, by any means, but it does come off as one of the nicest and most fully featured. Is thinness won’t wow you—being as slim as possible isn’t really possible here, as there’s a lot of hardware to fit behind just a display. (With any detachable, that is the price you pay for full detachability.) In fact, it’s roughly the same thickness as its full-size counterpart, the 0.33-inch-thick Surface Pro. Still, it does manage to be slightly slimmer than the Lenovo Miix 320 (0.4 inch) and the Acer Switch 3 (0.39 inch), and much trimmer than the 0.7-inch-thick Lenovo Flex 6 11.
90s? Were indispensable in the first seven years after 2000. Were as common on the hip as sliderules were back in the 70s, at least in the busy engineering environment I was in at the time. “Beaming” information to a co-worker over IR link was a common practice.
Shares of Insulet are currently trading at around $85 per share, down almost 20% from its yearly high. This pullback presents an attractive opportunity to invest in a growth stock with a unique product and a market that is set to grow massively in the long term.
“First users will be doctors and clinicians who are more comfortable with ultrasounds,” says Sanchez, now the startup’s chip design lead. “But, eventually, everyone from paramedics to nurses to doctors who have never used ultrasound will carry with them.”
What is a problem for Palm OS these days is Palm never supplied support for WPA2/PSK2 for any models with WiFi. There’s supposedly a near mythical ‘enterprise’ software addon for the T|X that includes WPA2/PSK2 support but I’ve not been able to find it anywhere. I have a LifeDrive (microdrive replaced with 4gb CF) and a Tungsten E2, plus my old Visor Platinum. IIRC Dmitry (the palm powerups guy) was working on a WPA2 addon for Palm OS but never released it.

The Toughbook FZ-T1 is slim, extremely durable and sports a 5-inch display. This form factor, and the fact that it can make calls, makes it closer to a smartphone than a tablet – but Panasonic still insists on calling it a ‘Toughbook’. It was launched globally back in June this year. The 5-inch display has a resolution of 1280×720 pixels, has 10-point multitouch support along with rain sensing, glove touch mode and can accept a passive pen input. The FZ-T1 runs Android 8.1 Oreo and has an integrated barcode scanner which is capable of scanning barcodes.
Andromeda is dead lol, plenty of articles written about it recently. Set off quite a storm among the fans still holding out hope for a new Microsoft mobile device. Microsoft is all but done with the mobile market at the moment. As for the Windows 10 CoreOS with CShell, there hasn’t been much said about that for awhile. In the software industry, that would be considered vaporware by now.
Planet went ahead and skinned Android with some software that adds an application "dock" to the Android UI, letting you jump between apps quickly.
