There is almost nothing to dislike about this phone, other than some minor gripes about the rubber cover on the charging port. While its waterproof rating is IP68 and no more, that’s enough for most holiday adventures.

I don’t agree that a product with poor responsiveness and hefty weight can be considered a flagship or a great 2-in-1. A 5 year old laptop delivers a lot of these measurables in the same way.

Perhaps the most interesting use of the Tricorder takes us right back to the device’s sci-fi conception. Should humans ever attempt more long-distance space travel, a Tricorder would be a must: a manned mission to Mars could see astronauts travel for weeks or months without access to the full repertoire of medical support.

Ah, I always hankered for a portable device and finally took the plunge with a Tungsten T not long before feature phones became a thing (smart phones were still a pipe-dream) – I still resisted as long as I could (I even bought an official Sonic the Hedgehog game for it).
