I’m glad they’re trying new things too but it’s still way overpriced and setup to fail almost intentionally. Not even Microsoft is truly committed to Windows On ARM. Their Surface Go is further evidence of their lack of commitment to WoA. As Brad mentioned, you can get a comparably priced Surface device that has more features across the board including LTE support in some models and battery life that’s close enough to these devices. Multimedia tests were another story. Like the PCMark 8 score, the results I saw on Handbrake, Cinebench, and Photoshop weren’t exactly impressive, ranking well behind the Core i5 U-series kin assembled here in the charts. Meanwhile, framing a 6.2-inch 2246×1080 LCD display protected using Corning’s Gorilla Glass 5, the Armor 6 is generally pretty large and heavy: it is 160 mm tall, 13.3 mm thick, and weighs 228 grams. All of which makes the Armor 6 a lot larger than standard consumer smartphones, but is fairly typical for this market segment.
